Thank you, thank you chi Andrea & Hanh!!! Andrew, you will be a part of my birthday celebration so I know it will be special.

I like the graphics hanh but how come there's a passage about giving up before reaching success???WTH(what the heck?) Hopefully, it's not meant for me. For my present, I've decide to enroll in an 8-week Oil Painting class for beginners at a community college close by. It meets at night so shouldn't affect the family schedule too much. The idea is to revive my god-given abilities in the visual arts.

Hey Christina,
Maryann just pointed out that your avatar is wearing the exact same hat I sent you! See, you really did want a grey hat afterall! Glad you enjoy it.

Too bad you're not here otherwise, we would have been out celebrating probably at Chillis or Cheesecake Factory like old times. I am glad you are re-discovering you artistic passion...I am taking piano lessons through the internet. Chi Phuong, you should do that too!

Wow! Maryann is so observant. My avatar is wearing the same hat Hanh cocheted for me! Thanks again Hanh. I've already gotten compliments for it, even though it's just from Heath and the kids. :) You're so awesome. Still can't believe you sent me a card. That's almost, like, bigger than the hat, itself! "A thousand of hugs for you!" as Critter Katelyn would say.

Yes, Jen. I miss you taking me out for those late dinners, not only on my bday, but once in a while. Luckily for you my palette has became more refine, which means it cost $$$ to take me out. Chili's was getting way too salty, remember? But Cheesecake Factory was fun b/c of the atmosphere. Those were the good times that I miss about being in SJ. I was packing yesterday and ran across a photo of us drinking Mai Tai's on the cruise ship and it brought back memories. We should do it again!!!

And yep. When I signed up for the art class I thought about your initial investment in me at the tune of sixty plus dollars when that much money meant so much more. Sorry your investment didn't turn me into Michelangelo but rather a desperate housewife (ha,ha,ha). I'll make it up to you now - with interest, ok?

Here, Andrea was very kind to offer to take me out for a foot message. But fatigue from turning 38 (40, actually)resulted in me turning her down. Thank you though, Andrea. It is the thought that counts.

And thank you Chau for putting aside important tasks like DOING YOUR HOMEWORK and still finding time to send me a bday card plus cash!! :O Can you believe my younger sister thinks she can subsidize me at 40? Though I jest, I was actually thinking some bills were going to fall out on my laps when I opened Hanh's card. But no such luck. Ha, ha, ha!

Wow, I'm envious of everyone taking cool classes and doing cool things. Oil painting class sounds really fun Christina. And piano on the web is a great idea Jen. I have to pick a new hobby now that winter is over.
Ha Christina I notice now that u did your homework u were fast to call Chau out! and the only bill that would fall out of any card from me would be collection bills from student loan! Or maybe foodstamps at the rate I'm going.
